Phuket is the largest island in Thailand, at about 50 km long and 20 km wide. It’s so big you tend to forget it’s an island. It is connected to the mainland by a 700 m wide bridge - that’s all. But when you’ll get to know Phuket you’ll understand - It has to be this big, because it has everything that characterizes a Thai island: something from Pattaya, some of Krabi and some of Samui.
